L95 or L152?

These guys were supposed to come in as L-95, but the guy that got them is not quite sure. He thinks they might be L-152 or some other closely related species.

There is faint orange on the dorsal, caudual, and on the pectoral fins. Makes a stronger case for L-95, plus I can see some spotting on the ...

Re: Got some Vultures!!

They do squabble from time to time, but its mostly over food stuff. Like when they try to eat the same piece of food... They actually chill together a lot of the time. I was worried about the aggression issues as well, but so far they are doing pretty well together.

Quick little update. I ...

Re: Confirm my Bagarius ID

Yeah, I know they are slow growing, but the longer I keep it the harder it will be to part with it. Plus larger fish are harder to sell. LoL. I suppose I could always just set up a pool or stock tank, but don't even want to think about that yet.

Thanks again for the help guys! :D

Re: Got some Vultures!!

Thanks guys, they are pretty dope catfish for sure. I really would just like to have a larger group of them. Perhaps I will, determination is a winner! Patience is close second!

You think he would want/use the pictures? I checked out the Vulture profile, looks like there are already a bunch of ...

Re: Confirm my Bagarius ID

Well I have someone telling me that they aren't even Bagarius. Frustrating this fish is turning out to be. I really hope its not yarelli though. OY!

Here are some pictures I took last night. Perhaps they will help to confirm one species or the other?

Re: Got some Vultures!!

Here are some updated pictures that I took last night. I didn't clean the glass, because it was kind of a spur of the moment lucky chance thing. As you can see, they have really put on some size and colored up since I got them in September. :)

Confirm my Bagarius ID

Ok, so this little bugger is giving me a bit of a headache. Was sold to me as Bagarius suchus , and my initial response was that it was. But upon further inspection it is making me have second thoughts. Someone has suggested that it might be a variant of Bagarius bagarius, while still another person ...

Re: Got some Vultures!!

I only have two at the moment, trying to locate a few more. I actually have found another one in Florida, I am tempted to get it even though its a few inches larger than mine. They do seem to bicker a bit amongst themselves, but its nothing serious. I was planning on having a group of them in a ...

Re: Finally got my Bagarius!!

Anyone have any thoughts as to which species it might be then? Someone suggested it might be a variant of Bagarius bagarius, which would really suck, cuz I was wanting one that grew larger than approx. 10". Then someone else suggested that it might be a new species altogether. That would be cool in ...

Pretty sure for now they are alright together. The Bagarius is only an inch larger, if that even. I know I will have to eventually seperate them, but for now they should be fine.

Glyptothorax . . . but which species?

Got this little guy with my Bagarius suchus as a little surprise. Pretty cool little cat, although I am not entirely sure which species of Glyptothorax it is. Any help?

Re: Finally got my Bagarius!!

I guess I'm not entirely sure. I was pretty sure it was suchus, and have had a few people confirm it as suchus, yet there is still a nagging doubt in my mind. Plus a few people have hinted at it not being suchus. *sigh*. Any thoughts?
