There is a little device called a " Oxydator " which is a safe way of using Hydrogen Peroxide in aquaria to boost oxygen levels.

I think a positive ID and treating the whole tank it came from would be better than amputation, as its not in a life threatening place yet.

Pterygoplitchthys joselimaianus is an extreamly good algae eater.
Unfortunatly the waste from these plecos can give quite a heavy bio load on filters.

I found Kent Liquid calcium, Epsom salt and bicarbonate of soda is good for buffering water.

PS: Don't use Baking soda it has other ingredients, Bicarbonate is pure.

I keep 7 adult S.Eupterus atm, the pecking order situation is quite normal. The dominant cat usually has a more spectacular plume on the dorsal fin and much darker healthier appearance. If you have 150Gal for 3 Synos with a few cons then moving things around could lead to more trouble in the tank ...

Fresh prawns they love but dont over do them. Feeding at night is the first key to feeding S.eupterus. Live bloodworms he/she wont say no to, also earthworms(left in a tub for 24 hours with 2mm of water to clean the pop out of them) are a real winner. Cyclops and artemia I find are a bit small for ...

About every 1/3 had a larger then average belly area. I highly doubt that out of the 200 some i saw, that 60 all had dropsy, and various ...
