nope
This is the oldest of the ones i own. Howveer this fish has always had ample space. Ive had it since it was 8" (the store kept it only for s hort time) from 8-18" it was in a 300gal from then on its been in a 450. So i dont think space has been an issue.

What kind of pim?
http://photos.imageevent.com/jeremy/alex/websize/MARM4.JPG He looks alot like a Leiarius longibarbis. But the head is weird. The colour pattern is also off. In person he looks much more orange (all over base colour) with small black spots over the entire fish without any markings that resemble a ...

TSN problem
My tsn has developed what looks like a very light layer of film over its snout and on a small part of its back, it almost looks like fungus. The fish seems unaffected, and acts normal but i am woried about it. Their was a very slight trace of amo when i tested the water today the rest is fine, the ...

hey
Pleco breeder, thansk for the info. Something I do find quite strange is that you were feeding dog food, something that i would highly advise on not doing, this is very bad for your fish.

Breeding - Panaque albomaculatus
I have aquired a small group of these fish and am planning on giving breeding them a go sometime in the not so distant future. The fish are 4-6cm each so they all have a bit of growing to do. I have read almost every thing i can find on the species on the net, and in books. Anyone else care to give ...

The temp was a constat 26C the entire time, except for the slight fluctuations as i was filling up such a large portion of the tank. thanks again
My fish room is nearing completion and all the catfish in my 8x3 and some of my other fish will be going into the 2200gallon pond (heated of course), this will free up my 8x2 and 8x3. I was conisdering devoting one of these tanks to trying to breed the fish again and hatch them.

Any ideas on hatching the eggs?

Clarias sp- Spawn with pics.
I need some help with my Clarias sp, both in identifying them and trying to hatch the eggs layed by them. I have had this pair for about 2years now, and they have grown from 10-12" to about 20-22" and have grown alot thicker in the time that I have had them. I am not quite sure what species that are ...

We could all sit here and tell Red Belly Pacu that he is wrong but by the looks of things he just doesn't want to listen, so why bother. MC- Good to see someone else from Perth on planetcatfish. Regarding breeders- I can assure you their are atleast 6 if not more (not including myself) that are breeding or have previously spawned these catfish, but are some how maintaining a decent price. I have just had my first spawn, from my 4yo ...

Where to begin... First i'd like to ask you a simple question, why? why are you practically torturing this fish to death? why do you think its acceptable? Sorry to sound like a nag but this really does irritate me. I really don't understand your mentality, so if other people do it it's ok for you to ...

I wouldnt worry too much. They are a tough fish, just make sure you try give them good water quality and feed them well and they will come good. One of my clarias has a split barbel and has grown into two, looks pretty weird but it doesn't bother the fish.
