Re: Chaetostoma species

Thanks! That looks like the right one. I went through all the profiles and clicked on a photo or two from each. I guess the two I looked at for L443 didn't look close enough for me to think that was it.

Chaetostoma species

Bought some of these guys as 'rubbery plecos'. I know they can be problematic to ID but I thought someone might know. I looked through the cat-elog but I'm not sure.

Re: C. sterbai and C. hastatus tank

Thanks for the replies. The C. hastatus will be going into a 10 gallon when I get them anyway so that works. I'll just need to find some hornwort or similar plant. The C. sterbai will go into a 20 gallon long. I'll probably keep them there until the 40 gallon breeder is set up, then transfer them ...

C. sterbai and C. hastatus tank

I have 10 sterbai and 10 hastatus coming in next week. While they're in quarantine I'm planning on setting up a tank/tanks for them. I've read that both species are fairly easy to breed. So, I'm wondering if I could keep them both on a 40 gallon breeder tank and have them both successfully reproduce ...

Feeding new Syno. multipunctatus

I just purchased 6 juvenile S. multipunctatus. They're currently between 1-1.5" (25-38 mm) long. I know they prefer meatier foods, but I was hoping some of you could share what you feed your multis. I want to give these guys the best diet I can.

Thanks

Thanks Ian, that's what I thought but I wanted to make sure. The LFS got some new Corys in earlier this week and I think I may go by and pick up a few tomorrow.

Cory compatability

Can I safely add some Corys to a tank with Pimelodus pictus? The info on the pictus says they are peaceful but will eat small fish, I'm just wondering if the Corys would be considered a small fish. I also have a few Ancistrus in the tank along with some more peaceful cichlids (eartheaters, keyholes ...
