Re: Brazil Export List
This is extremely helpful. It is interesting that there are so few species that are commonly found in the aquarium trade...very few hypancistrus, no gold nugget complex or royal complex. Thanks again.

Brazil Export List
I need help with the Brazil list. I know that there is confusion with the list. Is it a list of plecos that can be exported or a list of plecos that cannot be exported? I get conflicting information. Here is the info that I have found: https://www.suedamerikafans.de/en/keine-positive-liste-aus ...

L191 Identification Question
I have a question about the L191 dull eye royal pleco. IMO, the L191 is the fish seen in the AJ Aquatics attachment. However, I have been to a wholeseller that had the fish in the Bluegrass Aquatics attachment listed as L191. Are there 2 species that are coming in as L191? Thoughts? Screenshot ...

Re: L114 Color Morphs
No problem on the hijack.
So is L114 also Pseudacanthicus leopardus?
Is that what your paper is about?
Are there geographic differences that would make it impossible for them to be all one species?

Thanks. Yeah I googled L600 vs L114 and came across your thread about it. Interesting stuff. Do you think L600 is also the same species?

L114 Color Morphs
I picked up an L114 the other day. It has a really nice orange tail. The owner of the LFS is pretty knowledgeable, and was telling me that there were 2 types / color morphs based on collection point, but he could not remember where. Basically, there are 2 types. One has a solid orange tail, with a ...

After looking at the links provided on a computer (as opposed to my phone), I am pretty sure it is either: https://www.planetcatfish.com/common/species.php?species_id=1454 or https://www.planetcatfish.com/common/species.php?species_id=662 I am leaning more towards L033; however, the store did bring ...

Re: L137 Red Fin Bruno Eye Colors
Thanks. I think it would be good to put this information under the L137 entry on the L Number list.
https://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/n ... genus_id=0
I see wholesalers listing the brown eyed version as L137.

About a year ago, I saw some long finned common plecos. The fins were like that of a long finned bristlenose. I had pictures of it, I will have to look on Facebook when I am on a computer.

Re: L27 Rio Xingu Royal Pleco
I have seen it twice. It gets plenty of oxygen in the pond. My filter is rated for a 3000 gallon pond. My pond is 110 gallons. I have put repashey, zucchini and algae tablets in there, so it is eating pretty well. I may end up trading it to one of my friends and just get a larger L190 "common" royal ...

I have built up a ton of credit at my LFS, and this guy had been there for at least a month and a half. I thought it was cool looking. Unfortunately I will probably never see it as it will be in my pond that has a black bottom, but part of the fun will be looking for it. I need to get some wood for ...

L25 Pleco "Points"
Not being a deer hunter, what are the "points" related to an L25 pleco. I assume it has something to do with the fins. Is it color on the fins? There are a bunch of huge ones on aquabid right now, they all say 7 points.
