I have a dark colored pleco with stripes looking for a name!

Had it for years now. I moved out and my parents kept the tank going. Just got the tank back after.about two years. http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o249/liljayyiz/Mobile%20Uploads/1021142045.jpg http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o249/liljayyiz/Mobile%20Uploads/1021142043.jpg I'll try to get ...

Re: Finally got my 65 gallon set up

Re: Finally got my 65 gallon set up

Sid makes some good points about cover - some anubias plants tied to the wood will partially solve this - they are undemanding & tough. Aftera while they will root dirctly to the wood & provide good cover if they are a decent size. thats kinda what i wanted to find out. some type of hearty plant ...

Re: Finally got my 65 gallon set up

i had a texas for about 2 years in with the corys that i have now, and along with a rotation of syno eupterus and syno ocellifer and had no problems with him and any of my catfish. throw another south or central american cichlid in there and he would tear it up within the first few hours of it being ...

Re: Finally got my 65 gallon set up

nice tank! I'd do a black background, even a hefty bag will do, and some plants would be nice. a background was one thing i was thinking about. as far as plants go though i do not want to use fake plants, and i plan on getting some type of larger cichlid like a texas some day and that will just ...

im setting up my new 65 gallon and i am using some driftwood i got at the pet shop. i also want to have some rock piles for my synos to hide in. i went down to the local creek and pulled out a bunch of rocks. i was wondering if usually you boil them before you put them in your tank? i previously had ...

Re: can i use fine sand for my pl*co tank

i was wondering how sand would be in a tank with mainly synodontis? i have a new 65 on the way and i was toying with the idea of using sand for a substrate.

Re: Picked up some 2 inch long possible Synodontis nigrita?

Yeah, i thought nigrita because the shop i got them from sold them to me as African Lace Catfish but i didnt think they looked like the other pics of that fish that i saw. i didnt know if maybe my fish had some kind of juvenile patterning.
