If the cave the male is using can be moved all you have to do is lean it on the wall of the tank or breeding basket at an angle the front opening facing down and the newly hatched eggs will roll out when the male moves, but if the fry are large enough they will swim back up the cave, I normally do ...

In my experience with zebras its either they are sick and dead or healthy as a horse, its better to just move the sick fish if there is no signs of contamination in the tank, why subject the healthy fish with medication, I have no prior experience with sick zebra but from the looks of that picture ...

the spot is just coincidental if you randomly check adult size zebras the fish with a wider vent are the females but the males vent tend to enlarge too when a pair is about to spawn I have not tried checking younger fry to see it it is applicable but an average size pleco even the fish that ...

it is always better to keep the fish in the same or closer water parameters where they came from, but my tap water comes out as high as 8.2 and very hard but my fish still managed to breed in this water, a constant water parameter is better than trying to adjust it less trouble on your part, after ...

sorry it took me a while to reply from the last post you did, I dont want to make conclusions on which fish are male or female I myself have a hard time telling the sexes of my fish you can how ever compare the fish to the photographs below:

sure you can keep 1 or 2 zebra in a 5 gallon tank, but I would'nt guarantee that they would live long, one thing nice about them is when they die you would'nt even think thier dead the colors dont change that much untill they start to smell, and that would not take very long in a tank that ...
