Re: Corydoras breeders in Melbourne?

There are quite a few breeders in Australia. My workmate was a former owner of boronia aquarium and he was keeping around 12-14 species of cory, with spawns from all of them. Try visiting your local aquarium society, should be able to find some breeders there, melbourne is probably the most cory ...

Re: C. Tucurui

Hey another Q, I checked the Cat-e-log and it listed Cervinus as being in temperature ranging from 20-24 C, Do they tolerate temperatures up to 26-27? or are they in a similar boat like S. Barbatus which will have major problems with higher temps? Unfortunately I live in Western Australia, where the ...

C. Tucurui

Was browsing my lfs's lists and I came across C. Tucurui, Does anyone know what sort of cory this would be? I may purchase some, along with cories such as: C. Cervinus, C. Loretoensis, C49 and C. Virginiae. There is no image in the cat-e-log for C49, but on the nettaigyo site, it was referred to as ...

No, All Corydoras have this toxin, it has been documented by Ian Fuller and he has written an article on it I think, I believe it is a defense that they release this toxin to try stop a predator. The only way is to put them in a bag of completely new tank water. A Sign that this toxin has been ...

Hey, Could I see a photo of the loach, he sounds interesting.

Also I've been trying to guess the 4 assorted cories and I guess that there is 1 Zygatus and 1 Arcuatus but that's all I can tell.

Nice Cories, I see you have peppered, Trilineatus and Leucomelas. It would be awesome if you could bump up the numbers of each species of cory. Especially since they are such cute little critters they deserve some more friends :D

Nice Tank btw.

For Game Fishin
do a bimini twist, then a uni knot to a rolling swivel. Rolling swivel should have a strong mono leader crimped so there is a nice loop, and then crimp a loop at the lure. Voila. Najs.

Cories do better with at least 4-5 of their own species goes for the brochis as well. I feel you should return the sterbai, ternetzi and any other fish you plan on getting rid of as soon as possible, Then bump up the corys and brochis to 4-5 for each species. By Adding some more filtering you should ...

Breeding Dwarf Cories

I'm looking to get a couple small cories for my 9 G fry/growup tank and I've heard that C. Pygmaeus is one of the easiest cories to spawn. Unfortunately There are no pygmaeus available to me that I know of but There are habrosus and hastatus, I'm wondering which of these 2 would be best suited for a ...
