I believe that the species is Aeneus(sp?)

anyway.....is 12 a good sized school....should it be less.....more?

corydoras that are simialar will school together

ok so um:
1. the substrate that I am using in gravel only one step above sand.

2. I have a bubbler in the tank.

3. amonia hasn't been spiking for the past two months

4. 3ppm nitrate

tell me what would be good.

I have a 55 gallon fish tank (I can't bear to see it empty!). what cats do you think would be good in it? I really like pim pictus and sterbai cories. Anything along those lines cept other cories. Suggestions please! thanks.

Ok um other occupants are a blue acara a parrot and a convict. They eat ALL the food I put in but a cichlid is a messy eater. All cichlids are.

Personally I would try to avoid keeping any of the more agressive tiger loaches (Botia hymenophysa, B. beauforti, B. berdmorei) with small corydoras. They can be mixed, but in my experience at feeding time these sort of loaches will always out-compete corys and push them around. Nothing really life ...

I started with 5 rt tiger botias the one that is left killed all the other ones.

Ok so here is the new list.

5-6 Corydoras sterbai
2 (pair) Bristlenoses
1 RT tiger botia
1 Synodontis(BIG maybe) of some sort
and a Pictus cat

Don't put them with anything that has barbs or spines as a defence because they will try to eat it and the ceaceelium (sp?)and/or the fish will die.
