Your right, that pic makes the spots look goldish in color. And it very well could be Oodinium. Either way I belive the treatment is the same. I could(should)look at the organism under the microscope.

well, its a handsome catfish hybrid. My high fin, striped tail, polka dot syno.

The Ammonia levels are 0-.25ppm according to my quick test strips. Thats a safe level. It is a new tank though ~6weeks. Laterite was aquarium grade. thanks for your help.
