I wasn't really thinking along the lines that the photos might be provided for the site seeing they are stock photos andI agree it probably isn't too likely considering it is a for profit enterprise. I don't know Max and only found the site looking for information just yesterday. I was thinking more ...

I managed to forget my camera at work, but Photomax http://www.photomax-library.org.uk has what looks like the fish I have listed under Ancistrus lineolatus. Takes a login to view them though. Otherwise I guess it will be few months until they grow into their adult appearance...

Ancistrus sp. Caqueta - ID?
It's ID night for me... Anyone know what those might be? I just purchased a group from a breeder who picked them up from BelowWater. He didn't now anything about them and Oliver (BelowWater) informed me they are an Ancistrus from Rio Caqueta in Columbia. And that it was a white water river. All that ...

Was doing some more digging and was makeing the connection to similis from my searches. The Photos are similar and color does depend on a lot of factors, just a lot more of the deep color on these right now then I have seen in most photos. Frank's shot is about the equal of my lesser colored one ...

Frank - bingo. That's it - when I seen the photo I took a better look at the mouth. And I would have to say there is no doubt in my mind. When they move around you can really see the color in thier body. The color to me is not what I would normally call violet as name suggest. To me I would think ...

"Blue" Cory? Aspidoras?
Ok, I just picked up a couple of these (all that were available to me) and I am trying to figure out what they are. They were on a distributor list as Blue Cories - that's all the LFS knows about them. I just have my crudy old digital at home and can't get a good picture of them... To me they look ...

That's great... I have been working with them myself recently. Fattening up mine for another run at a nice hatch right now. BTW... I don't know your level of experience or ambitions... But if you have an empty take you can put a bunch of slate down in it for them to spawn on and then collect the ...

I guess I don't know why you would add water that much cooler unless you are using RO water or trying to trigger a spawn. If you have to use RO - add it slowly is a possible solution. First, it depends what kind of heater you have as already stated. I use all submersibles myself... If it is a heater ...
