If you can get one of the clips with the suction cups that goes on the glass, you can use that for the zuchinni, and I find mine loves spinach, romaine lettuce and broccoli too.

I have a 55G as well, and when I had my clown I had one piece of mopani, one piece of driftwood. I never saw him eating either one, but then I rarely saw him during the day. I did see him sucking on my riverstones, but alas, he did seem to prefer the zuchinni chunks. :)

Definitely not one of the two above choices. It's a very smooth bodied plec, no spikes or exaggerated scales or plates. I'll have to go back and see if the person who knows what's up is there. :)

Neither of those. Very small head, I would guess not of either of those two groups either. It wasn't albino. More of a light brown as opposed to a true "yellow". Oh well, I'll keep browsing the L numbers in my spare time. It was only $6.99, so I don't imagine it was too exotic. :)

Yellow plec?

My LFS had a small plec for sale, labelled as a "yellow plec". It was of course clueless staff day, so no one knew a more specific name/size/etc. I did look through the cat-elog, but I confess not all of the L-numbers. Perhaps one of you can narrow it down a bit? The current size was about 2.5 ...

L-200s and overall hardiness

I am in need of a new plec after a heater disaster (boiled fish, anyone? very depressing). I saw an L-200 in an aquarium shop for $40. I have been reading some of the threads on this fish, and the profile, and the COTM article. :) However, being a little paranoid about the more expensive critters, I ...

I've often wished I had a digital to get a shot of my very fat bristlenose on the glass beside my farowella. :-)

Frequency of feeding?

I have a 55G community tank, which includes 2 yo-yo loaches as bottom feeders. In terms of catfish, I have a pair of otos (about 1.5" each), an albino bristlenose (about 2"), a clown plec (1"), and a farowella (4"). I generally give the loaches some bottom feeder pellets daily (about 4 small shrimp ...

I have a pair of yo-yo loaches that seem to keep the snails in check. I too received "hitchhikers", despite my picking through every leaf and root of new plants. I still see the odd one, but assume the loaches are eating the rest. I have no problems crushing the survivors! :) Yo-yo's are supposed to ...
