They originally came from India....(Kerala area) They were sent as Arius maculatus, but when looking at the photo, it's reasonably certain they aren't. We just didn't look close enough I guess. Yes, they are real & natural, NOT dyed. There seems to be two forms. We call 'em Aeneus Gold Line & Green Line (self explanatory). Both forms usually come from Peru. The color variation in the two form is probably a regional thing.
