Re: third type of syno now home with me!
Mine always chooses smaller hidey holes then I would expect so it must be a preference. She outgrew two of them but still tried to get in one. She still does, but as it's not anchored she merely lifts the cave clean up and tips it over. She spends most of her time in a large hollow 'log ...

Re: Bearded Dragons! In Cornwall!
He's a fine looking beardie. Looks in reasonable shape and not thin in the pics. Is it ok being handled etc? I wonder if someone just dumped him when they could no longer afford him. How big is he/she? Doesn't look very old?

Re: Some of my synos. Pic heavy
That's pretty much how I feed. Once a day and two days of no food. It's the malawis that do you in. They follow you for food every time you approach the tank but more so at normal feeding time. Angelicus is in a seperate tank and I think I just overfed her. She's taken to her 'diet' ok so far ...

Re: Some of my synos. Pic heavy
Ok, I've taken some better pics, although I don't seem able to get my glass as clean as I'd like! Moved a few things around this week and had the chance to capture some I don't see much in the day. Have removed a fair amount of rock and rebuilt the decor. It's made the air curtain look more ...

They are beautiful. I imagine they are somewhat delicate? Just thinking that if you post things like that they may break. But beautiful handiwork and very creative!

Re: Some of my synos. Pic heavy
Lol it's ok. I only feed 5 times a week as it is due to their....well, plumpness. But I suspect even that is too much judging by the angelicus! I'm currently aiming to feed less when I do feed on the principle that maybe I'm just overfeeding when I give the food. She wasn't thin when I got ...

Re: Some of my synos. Pic heavy
Your opinion is fine. I also believe the angelicus is overweight and I have looked into getting her to lose weight, although I have been told it is expected of the angelicus as they mature. The others I disagree with and the reason you may think it looks overcorwded is because every time I approach ...

Re: Some of my synos. Pic heavy
The syno in the pic above my angelicus. She lives alone whilst all the others are together. Some have been with me since tiny babies, some were rescues, some just because I'm nut about synos!
Will try for some better pics today but need to finish one of my assignments first.

Re: Weird experience at LFS
that's very plausible, but there IS such a thing as professionalism. in wich case one takes one's job serious. taking it out on customers definitely doesn't file under that one. Whilst that is true we all still have moments. I work in a primary school and you can believe me when I say, it doesn't ...

Re: Bearded Dragons! In Cornwall!
Goodness! I have a beardie. Lovely beasties, need quite a lot of room. I have the light on 10-12 hours a day, the thermostat controlled heater is on all the time as it adjusts itself to keep an ambient temp in the vivarium.

Some of my synos. Pic heavy
Have been trying to get some updated pics of my synos, especially since some have grown rather since I last took pics. I also have a new syno in a few pics. See if anyone can id him. I personally believe he is a hybrid but the store gave him a long name which isn't mentioned in the database here ...

Re: third type of syno now home with me!
I have one...only she's a great deal bigger. Huge some might say, especially widthwise. She lives with my EBJD pair but no other syno's She did to start with but upset them so much she was given the 55g and they left to go into a larger tank. Best of luck with it, they can be right little ...

Re: Synodontis Granulosus
Ta Richard. They are beautiful syno's. I saw two yesterday down in Bethnal Green at Wholesale Tropicals but they were £225 each. :( I am happy to take them as a group and can even collect, but it would have to be a bit of a wait if that's ok. :? I'm only up the M11 in Cambridge so it's not a major ...

L007 - Jaundice?
I have an L007 named Al. I've had him a long time (well ok about a year and a half, maybe a bit more) and he has lived in with my Malawis in the 100g tank. Obviously pretty hard water etc. A few days ago he started acting a little restless and twitchy. Totally unlike him and I began to get concerned ...

Large adult cories much like Haraldschulzi, pic inc.
Hi there. I've had these cories for nearly a year now and they've grown up beautifully. I originally bought them as the title mentioned name but I don't believe that is what they are. They're about 2-2.5" in length with deep bodies and a green shimmer to their bodies. Their markings are very ...
