BARBIE Unfortunatly I took apart my setup the other day and put the few that I had left back in the tank with the parents so I cant test the water. But next batch I get I will monitor it more closely and post the information you require. I'll even post a picture. Hopefully we can figure out what I ...

1st off. What are the fine details of the setup? What does your tank look like, what filteration are you using, are you keeping them with the parents or do you have a rearing tank? These are all important. Its nearly winter if your tank is unheated and drops below 50 deg. your fish will die. If you ...

Reg BN fri from Albino's

Is it possible to get reg BN babies from Albino BN pleco's? I just had a batch of fri and all of them except for two seem to be dark. This is my first time breeding these fish so I not quite surte what to expect. I don't have any reg BN so I know that the parents have to be albino's.

Hi Mats,
I do have a tank ready for them with a sponge filter I had with the parents tank. I just wasn't sure how long they needed the air stone. I figured once they could swim they would be ok.

Thanks Shane I will do that. I have even covered part of the tank with a towel and I am keeping the lights off. I don't want to set him off like last time now that I have them spawning 30 days apart.

You keep these type of wood in your pleco tanks? Is it ok for them to eat? I have Albino BN Pleco's that I am trying to spawn with not much luck, so I am trying to get everything perfect. I try to keep them eating every day so there's alway's a piece of zucchini or cucumber or some type of alge disc in there.
I am also recording everthing I do on a calander so I can repeat the process later.

Thanks again Mats I will keep my fingers crossed.

Hi MatsP, My females are about 4-5" and my male is slightly smaller. I have read your article it was very informative. I also read that I should do a two week cycle of water changes. I purchased a breeding trio of Albino BN Pleco's about 3 months ago and I was wondering what type of wood they should have in with them? Right now I have a large piece of mopani wood. What's the differance?

How can I tell the differance between the Long fin Albino bristle nose pleco and the regular fin Albino bristlenose pleco. Now I know the answer seems ovious but they are about 1.5" to 2" in length and they all seem the same. I have them in the same tank but they all look so similar that it's hard ...
