Yes your going to get a degree of territorial behavior from any living thing. However my P. Albofasciatus is not very agressive, as you pointed out they like to cruise the tank which is a pretty big territory compared to most others that claim a cave pipe and defend it tenaciousely. I would chalk it ...

Well Im temped to keep them. The cats will probibally wittle them down and thats just free food. Ma and Pa are agressive but no damage done to this point aside from discontent catfish. And Ive had Convicts that cant even protect all their fry, and there pretty tenacious when it comes to parenting.

Just my luck pick two Heros Severum randomly and what are the chances Id get a male and female. Now my favorite catfish tank will soon be infested with cichlids  Needless to say its a bit cramped now that the breeding severum have cut the tank size virtually in half. Something Wrong with American Catfish?

This Window seems to be the most inactive in the forum. Granted that Most American catfish are too Robust for keeping but on the other hand so are some of the most popular south americans. What im getting at is there some specific reason that fish out of this genus (ictaluridae) are not more popular ...

Cochliodon

Just picked up my new L077 yesterday :D Hes about 4.5 inches and just a beautiful fish. Very nice colors. Looking like he is going to make the underside of an elevated rock his home rather than the driftwood. Pretty good score for my area never seen one of these guys before.

Good call silurus! perfect description of a damselfly nymph. Most likely not a dragonfly nymph though. I agree that this will do no harm to fish as long as there not small tetras or guppies. Leeches are frequently used as catfish bait in the midwest here with pretty good results. I caught a 15 lb icthaluras punctatus on a leech. Asside from that never heard of them just for feeding. I would be worried about them feeding on my fish if you are giving them alive.
