I followed Coelocanth's advice and cleaned my filter out, rinsing in tank water, I did however replace the fine white filter as it was a bot beyond rinsing and replaced it with a more sturdy fine filter pad. How lovely to read your tribute but sad as well. I have a gorgeous Tandanus which I have had for over four years now. He is a good 20cm (about 8") long but thats a guesstimate. He is such a character! I would be devastated to lose him so I can imagine how you feel.

Its quite a bright/mid green so maybe I'll get a few more snails. I'd like to get a smaller sucker fish but I think my tandanus would eat it before it ate much algae.
