Well, I got another BN yesterday similar but different. ;) This guy is still pretty small (3" - 3 1/4") green to olive to brown base colour, yellow to light brown to white spots (colors vary: stress, aggression, relaxed, etc.) The spots are smallest on the head increasing to ~ 1/8" from the gill ...

Do you have any other guesses? or maybe some different pictures then the ones listed here: those look to be more elongated than the one from my shots.

We have common * BN regularly available here (midwest US) usually around $15 ea., I've even seen "tank raised" dwarf BN for $13 ea.. I'm sure some of the different ones can demand a higher price though. I keep hoping to see either of these: Ancistrus ranunculus or Ancistrus sp(l255) * common meaning ...

This Anicistrus needs to be identified

I've had this little guy (~ 3 1/2 in.) in one of my tanks for a couple of months, and have yet to make a positive ID. any clues? http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/4852/btonveggietabfront2ia.th.jpg http://img231.imageshack.us/img231/6255/btonveggietabweb7yk.th.jpg http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/8695 ...

Well may be that it's Corydoras sp(c103) another that looks similar, remember that the fish can show different colours depending on surroundings, lighting and how the picture was shot, with/without flash etc... like these two: http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=538 http://www ...

a truly unknown cory, sold with c. punctatus & c. schwar

I had two of these, unfortunetly both passed away during the quarantine period. :( The tank that they were sold in was marked Corydoras sp. (typical pet$mart mislabeling) It contained Corydoras punctatus , Corydoras schwartzi , Corydoras trilineatus and these unknown ones: http://img161 ...

My main reason to question the fact is that neither look that similar to the pics from or and the two have been known to cross-breed.

is it c. julii or c. trilineatus ?

this little guy and the 8+ year old girl look to be a good cross between the two, or I'm completely off the mark and they are another flavor all together.
