cory. sterbai - friends?!

hi, I've had a small group of sterba's for coming up to 2 years now, and i've since bought more tanks and moved fish about and what-not. I was thinking of getting a few 'friends' (more corys) for these great fishies! does anyone know of any that would a be particularly good or particularly bad corys ...

just a thought... i have a thing for cleaning my car which attaches to a hose. it adds shampoo to the water before going through this brush. forget the brush and you might be onto a winner for adding dechlorinator, or you could brush the tank while you're changing water

heheh. thanks again. dont worry, he eats well but just not the wafers. i give him a variety of bloodworm frozen/pellets and brine shrimp and some other meaty things. i do plop in a wafer every now and again but have to fish them out after a day or so. i just got myself a screwcumber! so i'll see how ...

thanks for that suggestion. wow they are really nice!
i have just never seen my L287 go near the algae wafers. nothing seems to do more than have one peck and then leave it to rot! i might try one to see what the problem is!

oh, ok. a lady in a LFS told me that panda corys will be fine on their own, which they probably won't, but i would try a few of them if they liked 27-28 degrees. any similar fish that can take my warmer water? i appreciate the help guys, especially after poor advice from shops. one told me that the ...

not ID, need suggestion please!

hi, i have decided that i definitely have room for a small (a few inches) bottom feeding catfish. The thing is that i have been misinformed by 3 of my LFSs about various things and rather than have to return anything i thought i would go out with a fish in mind! things to keep in mind are that i ...

Glass Catfish - shoaling advice please

Hi, i bought my second catfish today - a glass cat. the problem is i only bought one, as the shop only had one and the shopkeeper assured me that it would be fine as the only one of its species. however i have read that they like to shoal. I don't really have room in the tank for a shoal of them, so ...

thanks again. i've only got it yesterday, but i will keep an eye on it to see how it gets on. i have noticed that it likes to hide during the day but when i turn off the aquarium lights, and leave the room lights on, he cautiously explores and looks for food. I can also hear him munching when the ...

is it a Panaque?

hi, i bought my forst cat fish at a LFS, it was labelled a Zebra Pl*co, but it really isnt :P i love it anyway, but if it is a Panaque then maybe i should be wary that it may eat my tank seals! sorry it's out of focus but it is the best i have so far, he is shy and i dont want to stress him out too ...

Wonderful Fish!

hi,
i bought my first catfish today and i am already in love with it. it is certainly my favorite fish in my tank, all shy and stripey :) and making scary crunchy noises at the corners of my tank!
