Re: Can it be the SYNO ?

Mats, thanks for your reply. The actual numbers for the amonia and nitrite were 0 ppm. Since I did not have a nitrate test kit I went to a lfs and had them test all 3 and the numbers came up the same. Sorry, but I don't have the actual number for the nitrate. In the meantime, since I knew the ...

Can it be the SYNO ?

In the last few days I've found a few of my fish in the 55 gallon tank d.ead. They were 3 Angels (body size about a 1/2 $ size or slightly larger) and a Serpae Tetra. The only fish that I have noticed having aggressive tendencies towards the Angels and Serpae in the tank were the 2 Yoyo loaches ...

SYNO MULTIPUTAS

I have a 55 gallon tank that has 2 syno multipunctatus (sp). I plan on putting 6 or 8 smaller size (25 cent coin size) angel fish into the tank along with one larger breeding size angel. Will the synos create a problem for the angel fish with their long fins?
Thank you for your help

Thanks guys for your input.............The pleco is the only fish hanging out at the water line. I also have in the tank a Synodontis Eur.... and 6 African Ciclids, all of which are in their "normal" water levels. Would you think it's a problem only to the pleco and I should move him to a 'tamer ...

Pleco question

I have a Pleco (about 3 inches)in a 29 gallon African tank. Lately the pleco seems to be "hanging out" at the water line at the top of the tank. I have not noticed any aggression towards the pleco from any of the fish. What, if any, might the reason be for him/her to stay mostly at the water line ...

Need help getting rid of Algae

I originally posted this in the "Other catfish" section by mistake. I have a problem keeping a pl*co in one of my tanks. It's a 10 gal that builds up algae fast. My LFS says to get a small pl*co which I did. The pl*cos always do a great job and clear up the problem, then (I presume) because there is ...

Siluris................My cat's "problem" looks like tnhe picture from CanadianGuy, but ONLY the part near the nose. It does not have the white line on the body. I did a 25% change today, checked the PH. It was at 7.8 so I gave it a "shot" of baking soda. What do you think? Thanx

I have a Syno Eupterus( at least I think it's a Eupterus)about 4-5" long. I recently noticed white blotches, NOT spots in the area betweem it's mouth and the eye level(where I would call the snout. Can anybody tell me what it might be? I just thought of this..........Although I plan on changing it ...
