I don't want snails, and I don't want otos. Had bad experiences with both. The snails were eating and damaging my plants, and the otos didn't last for more than 3 months, mostly a week. Yes, the gh and kh are very low, but I haven't run into any problems. I check all my water chemistry once a week. So I'm not worried about that. Thanks, though.

Sorry to hear that biomechmonster . I really hope it was a one time thing. I blame the nitrtie spike I had a couple weeks ago.

gH was 0, KH was 3, nitrates was around 5 I think. I'm thinking maybe the high nitrite spike made her weak, and it went from there. I had a high nitrite spike because of medications (dumb old me) about 2 or so weeks ago.
