can you convert a salt water tank to brackish? without changing media in filters, and still using protein skimmers etc, after all it does still contain salt in the water right? or will it just destroy all the bacteria and start all over again, going through a cycle? does anybody out there know about ...

seios are quite good, i use these on my reef tank! very good turn-over! worth spending the money, more money means more quality IMO!

i think what they are trying to say is that it wont harm your fish, but it does not create their natural light spectrum, therefore it will probably look strange for you and for them! and if you want it to look natural then actinic isnt the best bet!

i cant think of any other reason for the bickering other than that they are just because the fish are new they are sorting out hierachy! i would be patient and see what happens i think they might start to quieten down!

hi mate, females tend to get aggresive when they are getting ready for breeding or when a male is introduced, but can also bicker between each other when they are sorting out there pecking order! are the fish a new addition?

cheers, i dont have livestockin the tank now so what i can do is lower the s.g and add the columbians, then slowly rais it back up so i can add my clean up crew such as hermits and snails etc, which will probably vanish anyway after being eat! what would happen if the columbians were just introduced ...

i was just wondering, when people say shark catfish brackish to marine, does this mean from a young age as well. also if these fish can be kept in marine, are they reef safe, for eg, do they damage coral, eat crustaceans, and molluscs etc? might sound a daft question to you but i couldnt find the ...
