I know it looks like the food thing, and I am not disagreeing, but you mentioned to the low-oxygen lvl possibility, that the cories where fine, cories can breathe out of the air for a period, and I know mine routinely, (every few hours) dart tohe top then back to their regular vacuming of the bottom ...

ok, I am plannin on starting up a new tank soon, with a bichir, and I would like a pleco. People have had problems with plecos eating the slime coat of of gar and bichirs, ending up in the fish's death. Are there any armored type plecos that are not likely to get attached ot the taste of fish slime ...

oh yeah, is a 29 gallon big enough for him? Is a 29 gallon big enough for two of them provided they have adequate hiding spots?
