My guess it's a LDA 01 Panaqolus species, gold stripe. :?

L52 / 168's Zonancistrus brachyurus, are both very flat in profile.

Why do we put so much time and effort into trying to determine the sex of these catfish!
I don't think i have ever heard of a reported spawing of a panaqolus species YET.
Sorry to put a downer on the subject.
Has anyone had any luck or read this on the web anywhere?

Can any tell me if the new "Datz" book on all L-Numbers is also published in the english ?

What is the difference between an "L" number and a "LDA" number in my Aqualog book ?

Thanks for the replys guys, i have already done my homework and have read the article in the May 1998 TFH magazine, this is the only peice of literature i have found so far.
Hey Yann i hope A. ranunculus isn't as hard to breed as H. zebra, i know they live in the same areas as zebras.

L034 A. ranunculus-BREEDING INFO !

I have 4 Ancistus ranunculus (2 boys & 2 girls) & was wondering if anyone has had any success in breeding them ?
There seems to be little info on them, i thought being an Ancistrus species they would be easily breed in the house hold aquarium.

Thanks VEGETA.....
