Thanx for the link.Whats the minimum size for breeding? Couldn't find an answer relating to their size. I have read most of the forum topics and searched google for articles. They usually state 3-5 years but not a size.

I purchased 4 of these guys yesterday. They are all about 10cm. I do not know how old they are, but wanted to know how big do these guys have to be before any breeding results from them. I have read that it maybe 5inches before they start breeding?

fish #2 looks like a male and the other 2 look to be females.

My L066 female is like 5-10cm from the males cave... well she has been like that since yesterday. Hope thats a good thing.

i a trying not to concentrate on my L066 aswell. After i give my l144 a rest i will use the tank to have a go with my L260. I will drop my tank temperature tonight and see what happens. They have become very active i must say, all 3 female are within a foot from the males cave. never had this happen ...

sorry my bad. funny how they say the L260 would get to 90mm (3.5"), and mine are all over that size. my male is about 13-14cm.

even though i have not spawned my hypansistrus.. vaious reasons from tank leaking to finding the correct combination. But i have spawned my L144 :lol: . I really like them, they don't hide all the time like other hypansistrus. They are out and about and they are easy to feed not picky like my queens.
