Thanx. I love the Hara horai. Looks awesome. Never would have known this fish unless I would read all species in the database. Hope he is available in my LFS.

I would love a combo with White Cloud Minnows. They would love the current!

New 20G suitable rivertank?

Hi, It's been a long time since I've been here. I took a little time-out on aquariumkeeping. But the itch came up again and I bought a 20G for a very suitable price. It's a Juwel Rekord 80. I always wanted to build a rivertank and I was wondering wich cats or loaches are best to keep in a mini wild ...

Thanks! It was ment to be a rocky background for Malawi or Tanganyika. I also made some hollow rocks. But after a while I came across clarias and I was really intriged by this fish. I've kept and bred S. petricola for many years. Former setup: http://home.wanadoo.nl/rhoevlaak/image/obj47geo47pg1p12 ...

My Clarias suffered from Columnarisdisease

My Clarias died today from Columnaris disease, I guess it was already infected when I bought him. The first fish that died of disease in my tank in many years. Does Columnaris survive in a tank with no fish and a dose of esha 2000 in it? I really hope so, I don't want to empty my tank and disinfect ...

Injured Clarias batrachus, use of salt?

Yesterday I bought two male Clarias batrachus, an albino and a marbled, size around 20cm. I already saw in the LFS that the albino had some burns (looks like burns)on the sides of his body. He has is own tank now because the other male was chasing him, so I decided to separate them... Does anybody ...

I like the shape of Clarias, but I think it gets to big for a 65G. Maybe there are smaller clarias type catfish?
I also like synodontis species.

I've been reading some info on the internet (learned a great deal) and there was one site with some good arguments, arguments from some professors. A short story on this subject: "It said that pumping pressurized gasses into the water can oversaturate the water. But air that is mixed with water in a ...

Over-Aeration?

This generates lots of bubbles that don't flow up to the surface but they stay in the water, gliding along on the stream ...
