I agree - I only take the removable top off when I move the fry from parents tank to the grow up babies tank.

I keep my 2 L264 with 6 large Discus: They eat beef-heart, blood-worms and Tetra-bits. Beside they DO eat cucumber, mainly at night.

I have learned that QA - L260 is very shy, night animal, slow feeder.

I agree that
"well fed individuals will not eat plants".
Remember they will still rarely eat your plants. If your plants are important to you , you should consider this.

Talking with friend here who purchased QA-L260 lately, most of them died. So maybe my aquarium params and population ( detailed above ) is not the reason...

The plec stick as i called it is for poking plec's out from between rock's, you'd be supprised how well they can wedge them self's in. I actually have that stick on the wall in my fish room :D . Yes. They help you with all the documentation. Remember - exporting from Peru and importing to your country is extra $ and not cheap.

1st one I had died after 5 days. Now I have my 2nd one.

Any special recommendations for keeping this new guy happy ?
