albino chocolate

Hey 'yall!! I was wondering if I could get an opinion from you guys? I've had my albino chocolate for about 6 months. Since I bought him he's been considerably brown (which is why I chose him at the LFS), but today out of nowhere I noticed he's totally cream/yellowish... he's remained this color in ...

One of my good friends used to have a problem living her fish tank wishes vicariously through me... She bought me an Asian Upside Down Catfish Mystus leucophasis which was the most beautifully graceful, curious thing I'd ever seen. I totally fell for it, yet once I read about it here I realized I ...

Hey MatsP~ question re: your feeding plecos article

Hey there Mats, I had a question about your feeding article regarding this formula you gave us: 1. Grind your favourite fish food to bits. You can add any kind of fish food and even ground, dried vegetables. 2. Separate an egg white from the yolk. 3. Mix the egg white and fish food. 4. Paint the ...

I kinda figured it wouldn't float... I thought maybe I'd use silicone to glue it to something like a rock or maybe a piece of slate? The pipes my friend gave me seem pretty heavy but I haven't tried to sink them water yet. I thought about maybe even attaching some suction cups... I guess I'll have ...

Nice! Thats good b/c I was thinking of making/getting some caves out of different materials whenever I have the chance.

As far as failing... I don't know about your work but you're doing a pretty damn good job here, I'd say! Thanks for yet again helping me out with all your good advice!!

So they are actually more comfortable in a smaller housing cave than a bigger housing cave? If I used the breeding cave formula (although I'm not necessarily trying to get them to breed) is it possible that they would breed, seeing as they are not any of the same types of plecs? Since each plec ...

Welcome! What kind of plecs/cats have you tried to keep? I would suggest going to a LFS (Local-Fish-Store) and writing down the names of catfish and plecos that you like. Then come back here and go to the "Cat-eLog" and look up each individual name you wrote down. That's what I usually do when I'm ...

Well, I'm very finicky about choosing fish (except for my impulse yesterday, but sounds like it was for the better!) so I don't go to LFS's that have unqualified/untrained/uneducated staff, poor quality fish, give me a bad vibe, ect, ect, ect. There are a couple of other stores here I know have ...
