Re: *** Manzanita Driftwood*** buy 2 get 1 free :) ~ Ship/Pu
Yea I bought some of those root pieces and alot of your thick branchy pieces. The Root ones deff leach out tons of tannins but the thick branchy kind leach a bit as well and some have taken really long to sink. It varies Ive noticed from piece to piece.

Re: *** Manzanita Driftwood*** buy 2 get 1 free :) ~ Ship/Pu
I have purchased and used the driftwood sold here by this user and it really does look great and work great. The only this with these is it does take a bit of time for them to sink on there own between a week to even a month for some pieces. But this wood doesn't break down fast as all and my pleco ...

Re: Still Trying To ID.
I'm pretty sure that L087 is a Cochliodon group fish, and the fish in this thread is NOT a Cochliodon fish. I suspect this fish is not an L-number fish, but rather one of the common species from South America that isn't exported much because they are not worth much for their size, when you can get ...

Still Trying To ID.
Ok I was trying to get an ID for my Hypostomus pleco but still having difficulty. I got more recent pictures of it in more relaxed colors. Is better feed no more sunken in belly (how it was when I bought it) and tail has grown back. Part of it was missing due to its former owners having it with an ...

Re: Need An Id On This pl*co
Well I think its diet wasnt what it should have been. Considering its under weight leaves me to beleive all it had to feed on was any algea on the glass or left overs from other tank mates. Also seeing how his fins are damaged means he would of been hidding most of the time. He seems very shy. Im ...

Re: Need An Id On This pl*co
But if its a larger species wouldnt it be bigger considering the size tank it was housed in??? I know its a diff species but my L-001 grew fast while in my 53gal. I could be wrong though I have been wrong a couple times in the past. More then ill ever admit lol. Ive never owned a Hypostomus before ...

Re: Need An Id On This pl*co
Hypostomus punctatus gets to big also the spotting on the body is different. The spots on H. punctatus are defined on the head but not on the body where as my new pleco has defined spots through out the entire body.
Loading some pics on photobucket right now maybe help with the ID a bit more.

Re: Need An Id On This pl*co
Yeah I know how that goes. Well im figuring since it was in a 110gal for roughly 3yrs that it should be full grown or close to it. Ive been tryin to id this guy for bout a week on my own. Its amazing how many pleco's look alike. Hypostomus sp. for now I guess.

Re: Need An Id On This pl*co
I was thinking it was hypostomus but couldnt figure out which. The coloring doesnt match any of the ones I saw pictured on this site. Ill try taking more pics so you could get a better look at its true colors.

They said the nitrites were high but everything else was normal and thats why they got rid of the Koi. From what they said though is that the white marks are going away and the belly isnt sunken in as much no more its almost back to normal. Seems like they figured out the problem themselves. Thanks ...

L-229 how big does it get also I need to mostly rely on Online store for pleco's since my LFS only carry commons and gibbicep's and on ocassion royal's mango's and other's which I dont remeber what they are. So if you could provide a site that sells the fish you suggested BK it would be very helpful.
