Mine run on Discus bits supplied by Frozen artemia and ocasionally beef heart(small amounts)

I have 2 breeding pairs in the same 160 liter tank, so you might say I am extremly lucky. They don't fight and the fry are left alone.

New Scandinavian Catfish forum

I have for a long time missed a Scandinavian catfish board, so I went and made one :) It's not big and I don't expect it to outgrow itself. I am implementing a small L and LDA number resourceon the portal and hope to get some articles etc. in Scandinavian languages. Interface carries Norwegian ...

It was more the behaviour of "dragging" it into the cave I was adressing.

Unbelivable behaviour by my female L-102

I have had a old trichogaster leeri in a tank with my L-102 pair and this morning I failed to see her anywhere. I searched the whole tank. She wasn't to be found anywhere, so I took a flashlight and looked in the caves. To my big surprise I found her dead in the cave where the female L-102 lives ...

I didn't explain well enough, it's 5 different zebras.
I have 2 more in stock, but I didn't want to put them through a full photo session at this point.
So I just took a few quick pictures, and to be hounest poor shots.

L-046 boys or girls?

I am pretty certain of what I have, but there is so much confusing information on how to sex them. I didn't wan't to disturb them to much, so I only took a few quick shots. Any good suggestions  The first 3 http://home.broadpark.no/~pkjer/images/L-046-1.jpg 2 more http://home.broadpark.no ...

Trop Rio e-mail adress

Can someone provide me with a working e-mail to them? Like so many exporters they do their damndest NOT to be visible anywhere on the net.

If you have some other reliable exporters you can recommend, then I would also be happy to receive info about them.

You can keep two males in the same tank, but only one will spawn with the females from what I've been told, so it would be a waste, IMO. They will fight some, but usually not once they establish dominance. It would be a better idea to get a 3rd female, IMO. Barbie Can support Larry on this. Mine ...

L-046 capture prohibited?

Is there any truth in the rumours that there is a stop in capturing them?

I read somewhere that they only counted 5 specimens in a set watersurface and that it should have been 50 to continue capturing them.

I breed L-183 and L-102 in the same tank without any problem.
L-190 would be the wrong pleco to breed as its almost impossible in such a small environment.

The red marks on the hard ray of the pectoral fins are actually quite normal when they stay in caves. I have had a lot of troubled moments with the same thing, espesially since its also a tell tale of a pleco in trouble (sick). My L-066's have them all the time, but its simply because the females ...

I have a hystrix that is about 5" and I have noticed it love to eat on roots. The poo looks just like that from my panaqulos'es, a distinct wood color.

Are these plecos like many others, they addapt their size to living conditions or will they outgrow a tank like gibbies do?

I have 2 breeding pairs, so I do my best to keep them seperated. I have a split 128 liter tank where I raise them till they reach 2-3 cm's. No problems when moving them to new tank's.

The fact that they had fungus on them, might be the reason for the male rejecting them, or it's because they where outside the cave to long.
If it's the first spawning it could also be due to the eggs being to long inside the female (old, bad ).

As Janne said, its important to have a deep cave. It has nothing to do with the smoothness of the pipe, but some plecos need a couple of runs to learn not to throw them out or be more careful. http://home.broadpark.no/~pkjer/images/L-066_mainpage.jpg As you can see from this pipecave, its a little ...
