Spotted Raphael and Small Fish

Just curious to know what people's experience is with keeping a spotted Raphael cat with small fish like harlequin rasboras, otocinclus, etc. I have a spotted Raphael, about 3-4" and was thinking of moving him into my 90g angelfish tank. Plenty of small fish in there - harlequin rasboras, otos, red ...

Re: Gibbiceps & Acrylic

Nobody has any experience with this? I'm finding it difficult to get information... I'd like to add a gibbiceps to my 330g acrylic tank, but am concerned about the possibility of him scratching the acrylic. I realize gibbies don't have the teeth of something like a Panaque, but I have yet to hear ...

Re: WTB - Rhinodoras dorbignyi

Thanks - good tips. Would the Platydoras or Orinocodoras be fairly effective at sifting in the sand?

Re: WTB - Rhinodoras dorbignyi

Thanks. Yes, I had a feeling they wouldn't be easy to find. Can you recommend any other doradid cats that stay in this size range? Looking for something to stir up the sand in my tank, but didn't want anything as large as a niger, for instance. Must be 8-9" at least though to avoid being eaten... I ...

WTB - Rhinodoras dorbignyi

Would love to find a Rhinodoras dorbignyi... Does anyone know how readily available this fish is?

Gibbiceps & Acrylic

Does anyone here have experience keeping a gibbiceps sailfin in an acrylic tank? I realize the gibbies don't have the choppers of something like a panaque, but I really don't want to risk scratching the acrylic. If anyone can offer any insight, I'd appreciate it.

OK, thanks... But from looking at it, it does look like it could be a burn? Doesn't look like any kind of infection or parasite to you does it?

pH 8.2
temp 78

It's a quarantine tank, receiving large daily water changes, so ammonia/nitrite/nitrate aren't issues.

White Patches on Syno multipunctatus

I have some Synodontis multipunctatus that seem to have developed patches of white on their skin. Not cottony or elevated in any way - just looks like their skin has turned white in circular patches. Looks a bit like the white spots you get on your shoes from walking in the salted snow in winter. My ...

do you know of any aquariums in Singapore that sell fine quality cetopsis specimens?
As a matter of fact, I believe http://www.cichlidsforever.com has them right now.

Great - thanks. That was very helpful actually... Anybody have any personal experience with them? I don't think I've ever seen them at the LFS.

Horabagrus nigricollaris

Seeking information on this species. How big do they get? What kind of temperament? Are they suitable tankmates for CA cichlids? Are they readily available? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
