Mark, Mats, Apisto, Thank you all for your help. As it goes, this thread is developing itself from tankmates to the question what the best temp is to keep this little guys (and hopefully ladies). I would really hate to loose some, due to careless handling. So is it save to say that they should be ...

I know what you mean Mats. In the first place, this tank (70x35x35cm) was meant as a L134 or L260 tank with some tankmates (probably Cory's). Then I stumbled across these group of Goldstripes and just didnt pay attention to the required temp of the water. Just plain stupid you could say!! I would ...

Ahum....good one...didn't think of that one. The cory's are now in the tank at 24C, while my L260&134 in the community tank are at 27C so i should have thought about it...but i didn't. Guess i need to adjust the title of this thread...So now the next question pops up..if the water is too cold for ...

Thanks for the replies guys. In the meantime, i removed one filter as the cory's were just blowed away from the sand. Could be because there's no driftwood in yet (lies in the bathtub with a giant cookinpot on it, cause it wouldn't sink yet). I will make a picture of the entire setup once the setup ...

C. Aeneus Goldstripe
Today I collected a group of 9 C. Aneaus Goldstripe wildcatch Peru here in the Netherlands. I'm really pleased with them, altough they are still relatively small (about 4cm). I housed them in my newly 70cmx35cmx35cm tank of about 73L. For filtration I use an Eheim 2210 internal filter with a ...

Last night, I have washed the sand and this evening I have filled the tank with water. I filled half the tank with water from my community tank, and the other half is tapwater. An Eheim internal filter is running now in the new tank, while another (superfish) one is running in my community tank. In ...

That's a nice tank Psycho... I have also L260 Queen Arabesque in my community tank...they are absolutely beautifull~! Meanwhile, my tank is not yet up and running. Today i put black foyle at the back and sides of the tank as backgrounds. It saves space inside the tank and i hope it provides some ...

Hi folks, Just wanted to say that i got the tank yesterday. I am going to set it up as soon as possible. I will try to post pictures of it. Only thing is I started to doubt about the L134s, as they are quite difficult to obtain here. Moreover, I have now 2 L260 in my community tank, probably one ...

So you guys suggest that I use sand as substrate with on top a lot of rounded stones/rocks? Do I add wood also? And if I use a lot of rocks, and create a lot of hidingplaces, do I still see them? I have now 1 L134 in my community tank, there's one big piece of wood in it and some clay holes and i ...

Dear Sojapat, Thanks for your help, would you be so kind to post or pm the pictures to me. I am very interested in their natural habitat, also for plants and so. I did assume they like a fast flowing current, but apparently not. Well, in that case i stick to my eheim internal pump and won't put an ...

L134 Tank
Dear Catfish friends, This week my new tank is coming in. Its an 70x35x30cm tank, about 70 liters of water. I want to set the tank up as an speciality tank for L134. The tank is going to come in the livingroom, so i will try to make it look somewhat good. Now i have two questions - can i house about ...

I'm sorry to here that! I just hope you didn't act too fast here. As i posted earlier, i have had an Ancistrus and a L260 in my community 180liter tank. Now the Ancistrus has moved out in favor of an extra L260 (now got two) and an L134. I immediately noticed the difference here: now one L260 is ...

Ladies or gentlemen?
Dear catfish friends, Last monday i happened to get my hands on an extra L260 for my community tank and an L134. I'm thinking both are female...what do you guys think: L260: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v254/adesjaak/P1010698.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v254/adesjaak/P1010699.jpg L134 ...
