I use tropical hard wood , but i dnt really think it matters which type you give it, but get the wood from ur lfs so you all know it is safe for the plec.

They Have Finally Done It!
Well, my bristlenoses have finally done it i have some eggs :D the male is currently in there fanning them and the females are eating. I'm just so excited seeing these are the first catfish eggs i have ever had i just thought i would tell you guys because you have been such good help. Yay :D - Jonno

Hi,
I have read in a book that carrots make really good food for fish and they use to use it to bring out the colouring.
So i was just wondering if it would be alright for bristlenoses ?

well my females are near enought out all the time or on the drift wood, my male spends most of his time under his cave hes got bristles but there only small compared to my other common male which is full grown in my other tank. I feed them pellets, algae wafers and cucumber and sometime bloodworms ...

well i got 3 bristlenoses 2 weeks ago 2 females 1 male hopeing, to breed them when they get a bit bigger. So i put lots of caves, tunnerls etc in the tank. Hi i recently got some bristlenose plecs, they are about 2inches and a half.
