Jaguar cats
Diz, Do you have a source for the Jaguar cats? I can't find anyone who carries them. Anyway, I understand the Jags are pretty well behaved if they are fed well with pellets, chopped shrimp etc. etc. I wouldn't trust them with any of the smaller fish. Glad to hear someone else likes these beautiful ...

Laser Corys
CoryDorus, Nice corys! From what I have seen there are gold, orange, red, and green "laser corys". From the pics, yours look like either the gold or green variety. I have never seen them until recently so I am still learning about them. In what type of setup do you have them(pH, temp, etc etc)? Jim

Jaguar pics
Marc,
Can you post any pics of your Jaguar? I have been looking for this critter for a long time. It seems none of the LFS carry them. What are you feeding? Thanks in advance!

Substrate color?
Ian, Are darker substrates better for the corys and plecos over the natural colored(tans and browns) substrates? I realize every collection area may have a different colored bottom, but what is most common. I have always used the "natural colored" substrates in my tanks thinking this would help my ...

High pH
greenmonkey51- Have you tried Seachem's Acid Regulator? It adjusts your pH to a range of 4.5-6.8 I started using it to lower my pH to 7.0 and it has worked very well. My tap water tests at 7.8 and moderately hard. I too want to keep a L.Oncinus but can't find any! Did you find a source? I would love ...

Gold Stripe Cory
Coryman, Thank you for the reply and photo. They are exactly what I have. Truly a very beautiful cory. Mine share the same golden/amber hue also. I look forward to keeping and perhaps breeding these little guys. Is there any special or unique water parameter required? I ask because of the stripe. It ...

Neon Orange Striped Corys
I was given a small tribe of neon orange striped corys and never have seen these in person before, I was wondering if the stripe disappears after time or variable tank conditions. They are in a 100 gallon community with about 20 other corydoras and they seem to be doing great. They are active and ...
