hi, i had a similar experience;
we had a male fighter to three females, and my corys, mainly the tiny pandas were getting a bit nipped at.
sadly we lost all the fighters in a nasty bout of bacterial infection, all in the space of a couple of hours =(
however, now my pandas couldn't be happier!

predatory plecos?
i really like the pseudocanthicus type plecs, and in all the writing on them it says they are more carnivores, but not predatory.
now i was just wondering, is there a predatory pleco, rather than just a carnivorous scavanger?

thats what i would have assumed, but he stays around for about ten seconds; flapping around, causing a kerfuffle!
theres about 25 corys in there with him, none have done anything similar, and he's only started doing it recently...

the strange antics of my cory. delphax
i picked up a solitary cory. delphax from my LFS. they had no others, and said no more were going to come in, so i took the poor guy home.
he's been settled in for the past five months+ now, and is fine in every way; healthy, growing. he tends to hang out with the elegans i have.
now a couple of ...

are there any deep sea fish fans in the house?
i'm in love with all those deep sea guys, and i was wondering if anyone had any good websites or books they could recommend?

albino cory panda?
hi folks;
i came across mention of albino corydorus pandas being bred now.
is there anyone here who owns them yet?
i'm just curious to know if the albinism is similar to cory. sterbai; you know how the lil pectorals still remain orange while the rest of the fish is albino.
does the panda have pink ...

Personally, I have far too much respect for my fish to abuse them just for kicks; especially as it was obviously detrimental to the fish's well being.
Its sad that someone has to make rude and abusive remarks to staff just because they're trying to do their job, and I agree wholeheartedly with the ...

keeping LDA33 with other L numbers...
hi everyone!
i've got a mature 3 foot tank- water parameters; nitrite always zero, nitrate less than 10mg/l, pH 6.5.
its currently home to my pair of ancistrus sp. in a gold form, three otos, and about 20 corydorus.
its heavily planted and has large chunks of bogwood.
