I wonder what is the point...

Re: Other oddballs you keep
I used to keep many, but they have been replaced, along with most of my fish tanks last couple of years by a brand new, life long(I hope) hobby called a wife.

Syn. ocellifer
So I took pity for a 2 inch Syn ocellifer hiding behind a filter tube 4 month ago in the LFS. After release, he/she promptly disappeared under some hollow plastic tree stump. I moved that stump yesterday, and out swim this 7 inch fat monster of a fish  Question: Is he close to his max size ...

My mbunas are breeding like rabbits, no less than 4 holding females at one time... I feed the multis sinking wafers from NLS after lights out but they also come out when I sprinkle cichlid food. I'm sure in the darkness, quite a few cichlid fry became their meal as well. In any case, when I got them ...

It pays to keep up with filter maintainance...
Yesterday I was cleaning my Eheim filter and found 3 1 inch long S. Multi swimming around in it. I keep 9 adult S. Multis with my Mbunas. Since Mbunas are not really good carriers for S. multis, I mainly keep the multis around for the love of catfish and never thought of them spawning. So far, they ...

I will post pictures when everything is setup. As for Mbunas, I just have flocks of M. Estherae, M. Lombardoi, OB L. fuellebroni, and L caeruleus. Nothing too exciting...The stars of the tank are going to be the catfish. With a baby coming, I will be pretty hard pressed already to justify to my wife ...

How many Multipuncatus or Petricola?
I currently have a 110 Gallon(bottom area 60"X 18") stocked with around 25 Mbunas with plenty of rockwork. I was wondering if I were to add S. Multipuncatus and/or S. Petricola, how many can I stock given there are no other catfish in the tank? Also, can I safely stock both species at the same time ...
