Hi there guys.
I have noticed my one Hoplo to start showing signs of Ich. They recommend here to use aquarium salt at 1 x table spoon per 30-40L of water, also to up the temp to 28-29 Degrees C.
My question.
Does this not effect my catfishes, the bacteria, the plants.

S.Eupterus and Hole In The Head
I have got 2 Eupterus catfishes in my 650L tank among other catfishes, Syno's, Cory's etc. There are more than enough hiding spots between the plants, rocks and roots. I do my water changes and feed a proper diet of bloodworm, fish pellets, etc. Recently the one and now the other has started to show ...

Rather who is it than what is it
Who can be the culprit in my tank to eating all my Annubias plants.
I suspect the Whiptail, there are also 5 Bristlenoses in there but I think it is not them.
It can't be my cories or syno's.
What do you guys think.

Syno's go dark
About a month ago I purchased 2 x S.Petricola's and 2 x S. Eupterus. In the LFS tanks they were nicely coloured and light in colour, especially the Eupterus.
In my tank at home they seem to get darker, especially again the Eupterus. Is this normal behavior for certain Syno's to change colour.

Ancistrus dolichopterus
I recently purchased 4 of these. 2 of them has got the white edges on the dorsal and tail fin and 2 of them not. Is this normal for some of them to lack these white edges. I also introduced them to cucumber this weekend as they do not want to eat the algea and catfish tablets I offer to my Syno's ...

Here is my tank currently. Can't wait to purchase some syno's and plecs.

Converting from Marine to Catfish
I had a catfish tank about 10 years ago with about every synodontis you could imagine, a whole 54 of them, don't worry it was a 3m tank. I now want to go back to my catfishes from marines, I've got 2 questions here. 1. What kind of substrate is best for catfishes, pebbles or sand. 2.Can I leave the ...
