I am no expert Ian but I would say they could be both female, both of my males are smaller than them and they already have a lot of spines along the edge of their Pectoral fins which yours dont seem to have.

I had 4 females in a 4' tank with no male and one of the females decided after over 2 months together to become very aggressive with the other 3 females, one still has scars but the other two died from the wounds inflicted on them over night.

As far as breeding goes be patient, I have had a pair ...

Thanks for that much appreciated :)

I did think that they were both male L066 but just wanted to make sure.

A friend gave me them Ian, I dont know where she originaly bought them from but I do know she paid a fair bit for them.
I will try and find out where she got them from.

He certainly did seem happy while blowing bubbles :lol:

They are partial to bloodworm, brineshrimp and discus granules.

Hoplosternum spawning photos

I was out most of the day friday but the wife informed me about 7pm that the hoplos had started spawning, they had pretty much finished by the time I got home a couple of hours later so I only managed these photos:

2 different fish or both the same?

Hi there expert help needed again :lol:

I got given these 2 fish yesterday and they are supposed to be a King Tiger and an Imperial King Tiger to be honest they both look the same to me so I was wondering if somebody may be able to clarify things for me.

I have a 20 year old golfish in my pond, she was bought along with 2 other goldfish (they died years ago) and a ghost koi. The ghost koi is still in my dads pond and is nearly 18" long.

Thanks for all your help guys, so I guess it looks like L318 or L399 then :? .

I got a couple more pictures this morning if it helps any, its total length (including tail) is 80mm.

L-number id please

Can anybody give me a positive id on this plec please.

I bought it for £5 and told it was a Queen Arabesque, I didnt get a really good chance to look at it until the next day and knew it wasnt a Queen Arabesque.

I have since been told it could be either L066 or L333 but I dont know so thought I ...

As far as I know the only species of spiney eels that have been sexed have been by obseving that the female is fuller bodied when ripe with eggs, other than that no real definate differences between sexes.

Hi Jorge I would say that it is a Corydoras Ellisae or possibly a Corydoras Garbei but more than likely Ellisae. The Corydoras Diphyes has a lot more markings than the fish in the photos.
