Re: First Rhinotocinclus Isabelae babies
I sent a message to Jools. I will update when the site allows me to. As for an article, I dont feel comfortable writing one up until the I have had some fry survive until adulthood. The may 28 batch survived two weeks before vanishing. Which is actually pretty good for my learning curve with ...

Re: First Rhinotocinclus Isabelae babies
I think it is. There was a problem posting the spawn information, I'll post everything I have as soon as I am able to.Acanthicus wrote: ↑01 Jun 2024, 16:14 Hi,
I think this is the first documented spawn for the species. It would be cool, if you'd try to get as many details as possible.
cheers

First Rhinotocinclus Isabelae babies
Today I noticed that my Rhinotocinclus isabelae, or bumblebee otocinclus had finally spawned. Since I am unable to post my spawn report until an error gets fixed I wanted to just do a quick list of observations. Parameters: montreal tap water 8.0ph, 75F, nitrates 10ppm Eggs were laid on the tops of ...

Cannot add breeding report for rhinotocinclus isabelae
I was trying to put in the first breeding report for Rhinotocinclus isabelae, and upon clicking an error code shows up which I will put below. The page doesnt allow any information but the basics to be put in, and even then if you click save and publish it does not do so. I would love to add in the ...

Re: Teach wild otocinclus to eat using another species?
Thanks for the reply and the thread, it was a good read. The baby is in their tank now so I just have to wait for them to learn food. There is LOT of algae still in the tank (all four walls were coated when they went in) so maybe they havent felt the need to switch yet.

Teach wild otocinclus to eat using another species?
I have recently aquired some bumblebee otocinclus and am having trouble switching them to human given food. Thus far they are only eating natural grown algae. Their 29gal tank was basically a giant algae box a week ago when I put the 12 bumblebees in there, but natural algae doesnt last forever. I ...

Otocinclus breeding group identification
Hello. I purchased this group of otocinclus from a store where they were just labeled "otocinclus." The adults are all wild caught and the babies were born in my tank, some as recently as two days ago. I would love to know what they actually are, especially because the local fish store that buys my ...
