Well this is kind of weird, but I just checked on my cories, and the bronze corys got a really dark dark color, almost black it seems. Earlier today they were not like this. Does this mean anything?

All the albinos are too small one of the females is about an inch and a half, so I am not sure if they will really cross breed with eachother anytime soon. So pretty much just cool water changes ever couple of days, and feeding frozen bloodworms, and some frozen brine shrimp too. Also I just have ...

Ok thats good since they are a lot easier than Brochis splendens. I knew they looked like Corydoras aeneus. I have them with albino Corydoras aeneus, would that affect their breeding? They are 3" now, that is the mature breeding size right?
Thanks for clearing that up

The lady at the lfs said they were green cory catfish. I asked are they also called emeralds, and she said yes. And then I said because they also look like the bronze cory catfish. She also said that they usually dont get bronze cories, she just said that they usually get the albinos, emeralds, and ...

What size are yours? Do they have the same breeding pattern as albinos? And should I do a cool water change to trigger them too?

thinking of trying to breed my emeralds

I have 3 emerald cory catfish. One is a female and the other 2 are males. It is really easy to tell, they are huge and the female is very round. The female is pretty much short and stubby. They are all around 3 inches. I have them in a 29 gallon tank with a couple albino cory catfish. I have noticed ...

I have also heard that albino cories will pair off too. Is that true? If thats the case then I might have a pair, I got 2 new cories, and those two and 1 other big cory always swim together and nudge eachother. Do you think that is some sign of breeding? and I just did a cool water change too.

how often do you put them in there? I heard that bloodworms should only be fed a few times a week.

yeah I know what conditioning is, its always said that white worms are really good for them, but I cant get white worms. Would bloodworms be a good substitution?

I was going to go to the local fish store later today, and get a few big ones. Right now I have two mature cories, and two immature cories. How many matures do you think I should get? And since there are some immatures in there, would that effect the other cories from breeding?

I dont keep the corys in the same tank as the angels. Well here is the deal my smallest one and my largest one look like they are cleaning a spot. I am not really sure though. They are both on the side of the plastic breeder device. What does it look like when they clean a spot?

I put one in there that was in my 29 gallon. And I think I am going to pick up 4 more in a couple hours. How does that ...

That could be one of the problems right there. Even though I always read not that much live food could be given and they still will spawn, thats probably just my luck that I dont get a spawn when I dont feed live :( . What if I fed frozen bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp, normal flake, and those ...

spawning albino corys

Hey all. Ok I guess I have really bad luck when it come to breeding corys. I can breed angelfish and bettas but now ALBINO CORYS, and I always read they are so easy to breed. Well first I tried with 8 in a 29 gallon, then 3 in a 10 gallon. What am I doing wrong. I am attempting to try again since it ...

Oh I might have to wait to spawn them then. Unless they would spawn with a pictus carfish, but he would probably eat the fry :P . He is in the 29 gallon. Thanks for the info. I will probably post in the cory section too, because the fish store is always low on them too.
Thanks for the info

Spawning BN's

Hey all, I am completely new to breeding bristlenose catfish. But since I heard they were easy to breed and most fish stores want to have them, I thought it would be a good idea. I dont even have them yet, but I just wanted to ask a few questions. Can I use a a ten gallon tank? How many BN's should ...

So what would be the minimum tank size? I have a 15 us gallon and a 10 us gallon, I would rather use the 10. So does it matter if I have plants or ornaments in the tank? So how exactly do you get the eggs out? Do you just grab them or what? Sorry I am new to breeding corys. And when you feed them ...

just trying to get some info on breeding albino corys.

Hello all, I am trying to start to breed albino cories, and I just have a few questions. I have tried to breed them before in a community tank, but they did not spawn. I have a 15 gallon tank that I would like to use this time. My first question is how many should I start with should I just get 2 ...

albino cory breeding and feeding fry

What kind of behavior will albino cories show when they are ready or when they want to breed? Also I just wanted to know if I would be able to just put in one of those sinking wafer discs in a fry tank of baby albino cories and would they eat it?
