Thanks everyone! Ian -- how long do I leave the little cory fry in the container? Does it matter what I use? What do I feed them when they are born? I have not had any fry yet except for guppies and they pretty much do everything on their own  I will look into the blue gourami... I am ...

It's a 10 gallon tank, other tankmates are 1 male betta, some rasbora espei, 2 otos and lots of snails. How can I get rid of the hydra??? What should I do ...

I also try to plan a tank in advance; that said, sometimes I find out about a fish and wonder if it would work in my already established tank. I try to always do research BEFORE I bring a fish home. I have never and will not buy a fish at a store that I do not know about.

I am sure he is very glad you took him home to live with some pygmy friends! I have been unable to find any of the 3 dwarf species except the single guy I brought home anywhere in my area! I would love to get some of the different kinds :)

Did you only get one of them? I bought my first c. habrosus by himself because he was the only one the store had... he used to swim frantically all the time. Now that I got him some friends, they school together and explore all over the tank. I would recommend getting him some friends, they are ...

You could try soaking the zucchini in tank water with a little bit of crushed garlic, then offer it to her. It's supposed to stimulate the appetite. Just a thought, sorry I don't have more to offer... I hope she gets better for you!

I have play sand in my tank with corydoras habrosus. They seem to like it, although after reading this thread I think mine is too deep! I actually have some MTS that help stir it up. Also, my plants do fine in the sand. Good luck!

I cannot contribute very much since I am new to fish keeping and have only had my pleco for a month or so... I have an albino bristlenose pleco and he is a doll!! :D He is out and about all the time, very rarely in his cave. He has a great personality and is hilarious to watch when interacting with ...
