Dianema..
Yes, thats a good description of the dry/wet season. I would only add that this occurs over a 6-12 week period. In the end of the dry season, water may only be 3-4", no filtration, lots of ammonia present, live foods present. Ends suddenly with abundant live foods and return to normal conditions ...

I believe they like to lay their eggs upside-down. Try getting a cover off of a small bowl like cool whip or something similar (can be clear, but not colorless) and float it in the tank you are trying to breed them in. They should lay their eggs on it. It may require a dry/wet season to get them to ...

Corydoras robustus
Got some of these guys. Appears they have bred but the only eggs I can find are attached to the female. There are only two of them and I searched high and low in the tank for others but found none. Have never had a cory breed and had their own eggs attached to them, didn't think it was possible ...

Warm water cories...
Hey,
While not really a small cory, Corydoras gossei is one that does like warmer water. When I was breeding them, I always kept them around 28C.

Corydoras ornatus
Hey Andy, I bred ornatus a few years back and it was the only cory I have ever had that laid eggs in a jellied group, much like frog eggs. They were in a jelly mass and got taken into an in the tank power filter. I lost them all but had the mass/mess from which I couldn't salvage anything. That was ...

Hi all, Thanks for the info everyone is providing. It may not show clearly, but all the pics are of long-nosed cories which negates the julie id. The 1st pic could very well be the acutus, the tail in the lower rt pic showing much better the deeply v-eed tail which is the detail I was looking for, a ...
