The pygmy corys are definitely active swimmers. Among my corydoras I have observed that C. panda and c. paleatus are the most active-- schooling and scouting for food.

The LFS said it's c. leucomelas. But I doubt it. Looks more like ambiacus or agassizi or delphax... I'm not really sure which. Try a turkey baster. Time consuming but it's creates suction enough to pick up poop without disturbing the sand.

They're trilineatus alright. I've got four of them in my tank. They were mislabeled as "julii", too, but you can easily distinguish them in planetcatfish's cat e-log.

I feed my corys Hikari Sinking Wafers (the package has a cute pic of a trilineatus cory)and Tetrabits. The corys love them. I give them live food sparingly as treats. I dig deep holes into the gravel for them sometimes and they love the muck and leftover worms that come out of it.

The elegans can hybridize with the napoensis. I would separate the two species if you want to breed the napoensis.
