Re: S. decorus?

Hi,
I have a decorus, he too is missing a pectoral fin. I got him as a 1 inch baby and it never grew, the spine is there just no fin tissue. All his other fins are perfect. I always assumed it was some type of "birth defect"

they are ocellifers, they look exactly like my baby ocellifers did when they were that size, and mine grew into perfect examples on an adult ocellifer

Python water change system

Hi, I recently hurt my back and for the mean time I am unable to lift the buckets of water I need to make water changes. Does anyone have any experience with the Python water change sytem? How easily is it operated, and how well does it work? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

Bronzefry, a couple of years ago i was able to order just the top frame for a 40 gallon from my lfs, i think it cost $12.00. After i removed the old frame, the center post had broken, i just attached the new one with silicone. It worked beautifully, no leaks and looked as good as new. sue

i don't think the regularity of the spots is any
indication of it being a hybrid, you just got lucky
with such a uniform pattern.

do you have any ciclids in the tank? they won't breed without any ciclids, they eat the ciclids eggs and replace them with their own and the ciclids raise their young.
