I spoke with the hobbyist who bred the fish and these are the parents of the above fish. Starting to dive more into plecos but I've noticed that there seems to be a lot more mislabeled fish these days. I've noticed the same thing occurring with the West African dwarf cichlids as well.

Unfortunately Aquabid's sellers are primarily based in the US and I'm in Canada. With the additional cost of shipping, customs and clearance it wouldn't be worth it. I did manage to locate some breeders in Canada and am waiting to hear their responses.

Thanks for the info. It is strange that none of the LFS' in my city currently have any BN. There are however a lot of breeders, just not locally, as BN's are scarce these days around here.

Interesting you should recommend that because I was just telling a friend a few days ago that I'd like to try my hand at breeding BN plecos. My only problem is that there are absolutely no BN's available in any LFS at the moment. It looks like I'm going to have to find a breeder or importer myself ...

That particular catfish was rushing in to the corner, not lying on its side. That picture was taken four months ago from within a quarantine tank and the catfish is very much alive, healthy and doing well.

Here's another picture of them when they were in a quarantine holding tank.

I know this is not the best picture, however if you save it to your PC and blow it up you will see the Synodontis catfish behind the Gephyrochromis acei. Just trying to determine the species?
