Re: Corydoras Eques setup
Wow....I hope your group becomes productive!!!! They look so happy too. I have my 8 in a 29 gal with a big java moss floating above that's giving shade. I also have some anubias NaNa at the substrate level. But you've inspire me to get some leaves for the tannin. Currently my tank is so crystal ...

Re: About hybridization
Thank you Eric I didn’t know that about the trilineatus being so “loose” about their spawning mate. I will try to separate them. My problem is that I have no more room. I may have to move them to the 40 gal with fancy goldfish and jack up the temp from the 70 F for the goldfish to 77 F for the corie ...

Re: About hybridization
Thanks I feel better. I really don’t want to separate these two as they seem very at ease with each other and grew up together. It’s strange how they seem to be egging each other on to spawn. Two sterbai would be wiggling at each other and a false Julie would dash forward and do the same with one of ...

About hybridization
Hi everyone; I have a tank that contains 9 trilianus and 10 sterbai. These guys were tiny when I bought them but I am happy to say that they have grown really big and healthy and full. This morning I noticed they ere very frisky and I see the trilianus doing their active courtship and the sterbai ...

You becoming a vet would be a great way to honor your fish that passed. It's a big silver lining. Best of luck to you.

Re: Sick Sterbais - parasites, Mycobacterium, SWB..?
Hi; First I am so sorry for your situation. From your video, I think the emancipated fish, which ever you have left, are probably too far gone to be save. It takes a lot of neglect to get a fish, any fish, to look like the one in your video, so I’d think about doing the merciful thing but that’s jus ...

Re: My Adolfo cories spawned tonight!
Well I found a bunch of smaller eggs today.....I think they are the eggs of the small sized orange Venezuelans corydoras that I also have in this tank with the Adolfos. I just picked them from the Java moss and the side glass and put the eggs in the breeder box along with the bigger Adolfo eggs ...

Re: My Adolfo cories spawned tonight!
Thank you! I just found more this morning....so I guess I'll just keep finding them and putting them in the box. The eggs are easy to roll onto my finger. they are quite hard and easy to roll off to stick to the wall of the breeder box....hopefully these are good eggs. I am also amazed how big the ...

My Adolfo cories spawned tonight!
Hi everyone; I guess these little guys are very busy today. After dinner I noticed my 8 Adolfo cories swimming around this crowded tank in a busy way......there are 5 huge veiltail angels in this tank along with old and huge group of 15 neon tetras and two full grown pepper cories. So I was able to ...

Oh thank you Eric! I didn’t know there was a list for the group.. I’ll look through them. I was curious about what the members were keeping, given there seem to be many from different parts of the world!

Re: Raising Corydoras fry in bare bottom tanks
Thank you for the encouragement! I’m really excited today as I drove to my best local fish store and I was chatting with a store attendant who was super helpful and knowledgeable about using what types of dither fish to get my green laser cories to overcome their shyness...she brought me to a tank w ...

Re: Raising Corydoras fry in bare bottom tanks
I just received three more Corydoras eques from Wet Spot to go with my three from my LFS and they are doing great together. Once the 7 days Ich-X treatment is done (I do this as a way to make sure no Inc comes through) then I am going to try to get them to spawn. I have a thin layer of fine sand ...

Re: C. Weitzmani Spawn
Awesome! I am thinking of getting a small group of 6 or 7 from Dan's fish over at Get Gills too. These corydoras look great and they seem to be hardy when they are bred in captivity. I like that they prefer a bit cooler water as I keep all my big fat pearlscale goldfish at 72 F in their 40 breeder ...

Re: Cory and possibly Ich
Thank you Eric. I dont have Nox Ich but I have both Rid-Ich by Kordon and Ich-X that Cory at Aquarium Coop uses. I am just not sure which one to use and whether corydoras might react badly to any of these. But according to Cory, he has not seen any adverse reaction to Ich-X and his company sells it ...

Cory and possibly Ich
Hi everyone; A quick question. I noticed that some of my cories are flashing against the really fine sand that I have as the tank substrate. I can’t tell if they have Ich specks or if they are getting sand on their body. Regardless, I am wondering if you can let me know the safest way to deal with a ...

Re: Just saying ahi
Hi Eric: Thank you for your reply. Yes, I really liked the color of the green lasers so I purchased 10 to start because I read that they are most happy when there is a big group. I then saw the Eques a week later at the same store and they seemed very friendly and active, and I saw on TM aquatics ...

Quick question about the Green Lasers
Hi everyone:
I think I may already have asked the question that I had in mine so I have removed it. My apologies. Too much time spent in zoom at my job is frying my mind.

Just saying ahi
Hi everyone. My name is Mike and I live outside of Boston USA and I just found and joined this forum. I am a big fancy goldfish fan but recently I discovered cories, specifically the Green laser cories which I gave 10 and three corydoras Eques. I originally bought 5 eques but one died when I first ...
