I begin to notice the small ones don’t get to eat as much... Is there anything more sad than just to keep them alive even t ...

Yes. I think you need a colony .. or a community of a varieties of Synos to achieve serenity.... they will pick on each other ... period.

Congratulations.. this is what I want to happen to a tank I’m setting up.
I haven’t decided which syno to keep but I’m very conflicted.
I have considered the micro syno type you have.
They are good size ( tiny) and really affordable.
Do they get their tummies bloated like that normally?
