Re: Synodontis Tourei
The importer list has them collected in the Niandan River in Guinea. The pictures also look like the drawing and given the size difference I guess time will tell.

Re: ID of possible synodontis ornatipinnis (?) bought as corydoras
I have no issues with him. He hangs out with the Decorus, Petricola, Multipunctatus, Grandiops, Njasse, Crocodile Island Syno, Lucipinnis, Ocellifer, and Harlequin Lancer Catfish. The other residents do not get bothered by him from Humphead Glassfish, Red Tail Hemiodus, Roseline Barbs, Pearl Gourami ...

Synodontis Tourei
I just had a Synodontis Tourei shipped to me along with a bunch of other fish….very cool Synodontis. He is settling in nicely with my 5 Synodontis Nigrita Gold.
I can see him but he is in the rock work in the shadows.
I see that this forum does not have a picture of one. To valid, if a moderator ...

Re: ID of possible synodontis ornatipinnis (?) bought as corydoras
I have a bunch of different Synodontis species from Ocellifer, Decorus to Lucipinnis.
I loved the way Hybrid Species 9 looked and 4 years later he is on par with the Decorus. I figure Decorus makes up part of the Hybrid Species 9. My Synodontis are in a 180 gallon with a lot of rock work. They are ...

Re: sold as P. gracilis but I cannot be! Who am I?
I bought what was listed as Brachyramdia sp. when I spoke with the owner of the pet shop. He told me it was an undescribed species. Well in no time this guy exploded in size and IMO is also a Rhamdia Quelens….looks just like these photos…..he is now in my 180….caught him with placing food in a pleco ...

Just picked up a Synodontis Petricola “pink”
Wonder how they created this variant. Line bred in darkness? Blind cave characin comes to mind. I have him in QT and when he grows a bit he will join my Petricola colony. Now there is also a RTC Phantom in the market.....

Re: Can you please confirm IDs on these Synodontis?
I just watched a video searching Synodontis Pardalis. Sergei was the first name. It shows fry growing over a two year period. The stage before the spots looks like your Catfish. Be cool if it was a Pardalis. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zf_GM6g_2mM

Number 1 could also be Lucipinnis. Great article on here on how to tell them apart.
Number 2 agree Decorus....see the article on the stripped version.
Number 3 hybrid species 9. Ornatripinnus is pretty rare to find. A number of videos out there...still a cool Catfish.
