http://members.rushmore.com/~helprin/panaque1.jpg In this pic its belly looks a bit hollow, are you feeding it anything in particular to help get over this? it may have been neglected a bit by its previous owner before they finally took it to the store. Is it feeding well on anything else except ...

The discus will get spooked by the barbels of your perruno as it hunts, even whilst its sitting there with its barbells spread in wait for food to swim close enough. your perruno will jump a bit every time your discus stray to close and this will cause your discus to dart around the tank. They will ...

Is it right, that because everyone is wrong that no one wrong? I am not going to stock these fish anymore, now it is up to everyone that feels these fish are not for the hobby, to do something about it. Start with writing letters to the magazines available where you are. It might make the letters ...

A point well put. This is a luxury hobby and therefore every fish purchased is for the enjoyment of the fishkeeper and for no reason other than that. I have room for 2 tanks this size and if it wasn't for a 2x2 pillar that holds up the building it would be a 14x3x3 (oh well 2 tanks is better than 1 ...

Hello, Have just asked on another thread, do you think a 6x3x3 would be large enough for my Jureunse when its adult? It is about 6inch sl at the moment and quite happily housed with discus. It doesn't seem to mind the warm water or the pH 6.5. Its light bars are not very drfined but I put that down ...

Hi I have decided on these being L038 as L080 is much more expensive on the wholesale list and couldn't possibly be as cheap (rrp.) as mine. I am expecting 5 more to turn up wednesday so i can pick a female or 2 for the fuzzy guy. I have got a 2 foot (Rekord 70) tank ready for them complete with ...

Sorry, I dont know much about the weather in houston tx. but I should imagine its a whole lot hotter than here in ole blighty. Provided the room temp. is 25+ your trops will be fine. The fact that most coldwater fish have been mass farmed in tropical climates means that goldfish thrive in tropical ...

Megaladoras Irwini Pseudadoras Niger (I Know the name has probably changed and I dont really care what its changed to, it was irritating enough to relearn all the malawi c*****d names only for them to be changed all over again. I cannot tell you what they are, but will tell you what they're not. These are not Syno. Eupterus. Syno. Eupterus have a dark background with even darker black Squigles all over their body, not light brown spots on a light tan coloured body. I have handled thousands of these fish, from hundreds of ...

I have a Brachyplatystoma Juruense in a tank with similar water chemistry to yours and its thriving. Considering that he only gets to 24", mostly hangs around the bottom and looks great this species would make a great companion for a silver arowana. Steer well clear of red tail cats. I had a 2' one ...

He's in a juwel 240. But had a customer come into my shop today and say he has to move and offered me his 4x2x2 tank and cabinet for £100 with all the equipment and his fish. Couldn't believe my luck. I now think the plan has changed to having it as a show tank in the shop. How big is your tank? ...
