I also have Africans but don't consider BN's very attractive (sorry). Any other suggestions for algae eating pl*cos? I prefer something that stays a little smaller. I have a 37g tank with plenty of rock and now plenty of algae. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the info folks. Guess I better stick with a less excentric one. I don't have any wood in my tank and really don't want to introduce it right now.

Vampire Pl*cos

I recently came across a Vampire Pl*co. He was amazing except the price was pretty steep...$45 for a 2-3" fish...that's a lot of money per inch.

I cannot find any info on these guys. Are they fairly hardy? Are they "meat-eaters" versus algae eaters? How big do they get? Are they worth the money?
